Environment Initiatives
Le Grand International School has a very active Environment Programme called "SHRI PARYAVARAN". It works towards developing a sense of responsibility and purpose in the child. The school initiates many programmes, to name a few:
Anti-Cracker and Child Labour Campaign
This Campaign is to bring awareness amongst students against the use of crackers and to bring awareness with regard to their manufacturing, especially those done by young underage children in deplorable conditions.
E- Waste Campaign and Plastic Awareness
An awareness drive / workshop is conducted to help students reduce, reuse and recycle E-Waste. The school being a 'No Poly Bag Zone'- use of alternative materials and products like cloth and jute bags is greatly propagated and encouraged amongst students.
Performing Arts and Visual Arts
At LGIS Dehradun, we blend culture and passion across a diverse, creative landscape. We are home to a distinct and dedicated community where Public-Speaking, Visual Arts, Music, Dance, Theatre and other Art Forms are celebrated and practiced frequently.
Save The Tiger Programme
Under the "Kids for Tigers Programme" student are made aware about endangered animals and birds, especially the Tiger. They learn to appreciate the fine balance between Man and Nature.
Physical Education and Sports
LGIS Dehradun gives equal prominence to physical education and sports activities alongside academics. Our State-Of-The-Art infrastructure accommodates physical activities like Football, Basketball, Taekwondo, Skating, Yoga and Meditation.
For the younger ones, we have created a specially designed play area with sand pit, play gym, a friendly and caring staff with an objective to encourage them to come to school daily.
